Our review

Central Park runs for 51 blocks through the middle of Manhattan. Highlights include Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, the Bow Bridge, Strawberry Fields and the Mall, a tree-lined walkway popular with street performers.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art borders the park on Fifth Avenue, and the American Museum of Natural History is on the west side, so it's easy to combine with a museum day.
