Our review

If your trip includes time in Male before or after a resort stay, the fish market on the northern waterfront is the liveliest sight in the city. Fishing boats unload skipjack and yellowfin tuna, which is cut and sold on tiled tables.

The market is a short walk from the ferry terminals, and the nearby local market sells fruit, smoked fish and Maldivian snacks.
