Our review

The Sydney Opera House, designed by Danish architect Jorn Utzon and opened in 1973, sits on Bennelong Point beside Circular Quay. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007.

Guided tours take you inside the main halls, and the program runs from opera and ballet to concerts and comedy. For the classic photo, walk around to Mrs Macquarie's Chair or take the ferry to Manly.
