Our review
Phewa Lake is the centre of Pokhara, Nepal's second tourist city and the gateway to the Annapurna treks. Lakeside, the main strip of hotels, cafes and gear shops, runs along the eastern shore.
On clear mornings the peaks of the Annapurna range, including Machhapuchhre, are visible above the lake. Pokhara is a short flight or a long scenic drive from Kathmandu.
“A heritage hotel built around centuries-old Newari wood carvings rescued from Kathmandu Valley buildings, with 86 rooms, a spa and the Krishnarpan tasting menu.”
