Hotel Overview

Banyan Tree Bangkok is one of the tallest hotels in the city: a slim tower on South Sathorn Road, in the business district between Silom and Lumpini Park. It is best known for its rooftop, where Vertigo, an open-air grill restaurant, and Moon Bar sit more than 60 floors up with a 360-degree view across the skyline and the Chao Phraya River.

The tower opened in 1996 and has operated as Banyan Tree Bangkok since 2002, with a major renovation in 2009. Rooms are on high floors, so most look over the city, and many categories are suites with a separate living area. Facilities include the Banyan Tree Spa, an outdoor pool partway up the tower, a fitness centre and several restaurants and bars.

It suits couples, honeymooners and business travellers who want a quieter base than Sukhumvit, with Lumpini Park and the MRT a short walk away.
