Our review

Raan Jay Fai is a small shophouse in the old town that became famous when it received a Michelin star, unusual for a street-food kitchen. The owner still cooks over charcoal-fired woks herself, which is why the queue moves slowly.

The signature dishes are the thick crab omelette, drunken noodles and tom yum. Prices are high for street food because the portions are loaded with crab and seafood. Put your name down early, then wander the old town while you wait.
